Meadow & Old Orchard

This area was formerly the orchard and soft fruit area of the garden. However, we decided to create a new orchard area in another part of the garden that focuses on growing fruit in a smaller area - the Family Orchard.

We've got lots of plans for the old orchard, though. Some of the fruit trees had been damaged by deer and were removed in the early part of 2008. However, several are still left to grow away. Over the winter of 2008-2009, we'll work on shifting the soft fruit to the Family Orchard. Eventually, we hope to turn this part of the garden into a meadow with wildflowers and mown paths and a tree here and there. Lovely.
