Ornamental Gardens

The Ornamental Gardens surround our central feature - the two ponds, stream, waterfall, bog garden and main lawn. The individual, themed gardens are the size of a Scottish domestic back garden.

These gardens are constantly evolving, giving us ongoing opportunities to share gardening hints and tips. Some gardens, such as the Garden For Life and the Low Maintenance Garden, were create back in 1996 and are full of examples of how to garden with more mature plants. Other areas, such as the Herbaceous Border, are fairly young and allow us to show how to develop different areas. We even have a garden that is completely overhauled every couple of years to show the ever changing fashions in gardening.
